“We are fortunate that Deadwood Mountain Grand is able to sponsor an event of this caliber,” said Deadwood Mountain Grand Sales & Marketing Director Susan Kightlinger. “The reason we are able to do it is because of our close Nashville ties to the music industry. The members of .38 Special wished to thank members of our ownership and they, in turn, ultimately chose to pay the kind gesture forward to the community of Deadwood. This is truly a Grand way to say thank you. We are so lucky to be able to do this.”
Every hotel casino in Deadwood (BID 7 members), as well as area chambers of commerce and other Deadwood Mountain Grand customers will receive groups of tickets to distribute.
The rock band .38 Special had chart-topping hits throughout the 80s that include “Hold On Loosely" (1981),” “Caught Up in You” (1982), “If I'd Been the One” (1983) and “Back Where You Belong” (1984).
The following night, Saturday, August 18 at 8 p.m., Wynonna takes to the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center Stage, for a regularly scheduled, paid concert that is open to the public.
Tickets for this show are available at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Box Office -- The Company Store -- or at ticketmaster.com. Both hotel reservations and ticket arrangements can be made by calling 877-907-GRAND.
