Named for the mining term that describes the liquid mix of gold ore and water, the Slime Plant Bar & Lounge is the place to refuel on fun foods and drink. With a full range of pizza, burgers, soup and salads, the Slime Plant’s menu offering caters to the appeal of nearly everyone, while the Slime Plant Lounge features live entertainment every weekend! There is also special event entertainment on this stage during concerts and other special events.
Just a little bit of history … back in 1906, the Deadwood Mountain Grand building was constructed as a plant to eke gold from the slippery slurry pumped from the Homestake Mine in Lead. For seven decades, locals called this Deadwood landmark "the Slime Plant." So with a tip of the glass to the mine workers of Deadwood's past, we named our bar the Slime Plant Bar & Lounge.
