Named for the mining implements that dutifully carried tons and tons of gold out of local gold mines, our Ore Cart doles out liquid gold by the "troy ounce" and there's absolutely no prospecting required!
No matter what your preference, you're bound to find a 14-carat fit in the form of Dark Canyon Coffee. Our first floor coffee shop, located directly adjacent to the hotel elevators, doles out a freshly brewed Deadwood pick-me-up in 12, 16 and 24 "troy" ounces of latte, cappuccino, mocha and Americano.
Featured flavors include caramel, English toffee, raspberry, hazelnut, amaretto, vanilla, white chocolate, French vanilla, Irish cream, B-52, sf vanilla, and sf caramel. Prices range from $2 to $5, depending on size and flavor. Need a snack to go with that brew? You can also get deli items, breakfast items, soda and water at the ole' Ore Cart. Don't miss your golden chance to fuel up before embarking upon your daily activities!
The Troy ounce (oz t) is a unit of imperial measure. In the present day it is most commonly used to gauge the weight of precious metals. To maintain purity standards and common measures across time, the troy ounce was retained over the ounce in the weighing and pricing of gold, silver, platinum, gunpowder and, now, coffee at Deadwood Mountain Grand.
