AUSSIE HITMAKERS LITTLE RIVER BAND TO PLAY DEADWOOD MOUNTAIN GRAND

LittleRiverBand Screens

DEADWOOD, S.D. (08/01/16) – “Cool Change”, “Lonesome Loser”, “Lady”, “Reminiscing”, “Take It Easy On Me”, “Man On Your Mind” and “Night Owls” are just a few of the many megahits that will be performed by the Little River Band at Deadwood Mountain Grand on Sunday, November 13th.

It didn’t take the Little River Band long to find success in their native Australia when they formed in the mid 70’s. They hit America by storm in 1975 with their first hit “It’s A Long Way There” and followed up quickly with “Help Is On Its Way” and the multiplatinum hit “Reminiscing”.

The rest, as they say is history. Little River Band continued pumping out hits through the 80’s and continue a rigorous touring schedule today. “We couldn’t be happier to host the Little River Band at Deadwood Mountain Grand,” said General Manager Susan Kightlinger. “They have so many hits and their harmonies live are spectacular, so this is going to be an amazing show.”

THEY’RE COMING ‘BACK’ TO YOUR CITY – BIG & RICH RETURN TO DEADWOOD MOUNTAIN GRAND

BigRich ScreensDEADWOOD, S.D. (07/18/16) – They are America’s Technicolor Cowboys! Musicians with no boundaries! They are Big & Rich and they are coming to Deadwood Mountain Grand on Friday, September 30th at 9pm.

The show, coinciding with the Deadwood Chamber & Visitors Bureau’s annual Oktoberfest celebration will be dubbed ‘Rocktoberfest’ and Deadwood Mountain Grand promises the usual high energy show Big & Rich fans have come to expect. “Not only do these guys have an incredible amount of hits, their live shows are nothing less than legendary,” said Susan Kightlinger, Deadwood Mountain Grand General Manager. “Plus, ticket prices are extremely low so we expect an energetic full house.”

Big & Rich exploded into the public consciousness in 2003 as that rarest of breeds—true country music game changers. With 2004’s triple-platinum Horse of a Different Color, they were able to tap into the best strands of a wide spectrum of popular music, filter them through their pens and voices and produce a sound that is instantly recognizable, if not classifiable.

“You still can’t really define what that sound is,” says John Rich. “Even we can’t!” Big Kenny Alphin agrees, adding, “I listen to a lot of music and I haven't heard any two voices go together like this. John and I can match each other anywhere. He can sing anything and I can make an entirely different other melody around it, and vice versa."

Fans can expect all of their hits including “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)”, “Comin’ To Your City”, “Lost In This Moment”, “Wild West Show” and Deadwood specific songs such as “Deadwood Mountain”, “8th Of November (written about Deadwood resident and Vietnam Veteran Niles Harris), and “Big Time” (the video was recorded in Deadwood and Rochford’s famous Moonshine Gulch).

Big & Rich also have a new album ‘Gravity’ which has been widely praised and has produced two top-ten hits in a row with “Look At You” and “Run Away With You” and their current single, “Lovin’ Lately” featuring Tim McGraw has been climbing the charts.

Tickets are only $29 or $39 for early entry and go on sale for Deadwood Mountain Grand Reward Members at noon on Tuesday, July 19 and to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22. They will be available at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Box Office – The Company Store – or at ticketmaster.com. Both hotel reservations and ticket arrangements may be made by calling 877-907-GRAND. “I SWEAR” JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY WILL TAKE THE DEADWOOD MOUNTAIN GRAND STAGE

1390508484 JMM Color Corrected 8x10DEADWOOD, S.D. (03/21/16) – A musician who has sold 18 million albums, scored 15 number one hits, four ACM and two CMA awards and has a unique ability to relate to fans can choose to play wherever he wants to play. On Thursday, July 7th at 8pm John Michael Montgomery will choose to take the Deadwood Mountain Grand stage for a one night only performance.

John Michael Montgomery has lived one of country music's most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, the roomful of awards and the critical and fan accolades that have defined his phenomenal success lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits. Since the days when "Life's A Dance" turned him from an unknown artist into a national star, John Michael’s rich baritone has carried that most important of assets--believability. Few artists in any genre sing with more heart than this handsome Kentucky-born artist.

It is readily apparent in love songs that have helped set the standard for a generation. Songs like “I Swear,” “I Love the Way You Love Me” and “I Can Love You Like That” still resonate across the landscape--pop icon and country newcomer Jessica Simpson cited “I Love The Way You Love Me” as an influence in a recent interview. It is apparent even in the pure fun that has always found its way into John Michael's repertoire--songs like “Be My Baby Tonight” and “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident),” where John Michael's vocal earnestness takes musical whimsy to another level.
