DEADWOOD, S.D. (01/11/16) – The King is alive – and he appears to have multiplied. Dressed in white jewel-encrusted jumpsuits and sporting giant cuffs and sideburns, Elvis Tribute Artists will be descending on Deadwood Mountain Grand April 29th & 30th, 2016 for the inaugural Shake Rattle N Roll Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.
The event is one of many as a run up to Elvis Week at the star’s former Graceland Home in Memphis, Tennessee. Tribute Artists from far and wide will strut their stuff on stage at the Deadwood Mountain Grand bringing back the memories and music of the iconic rock n roll star who performed to sold out shows from the early 50’s, the movie era, ‘68 Comeback Special, Vegas and onto the Legendary Concert Years.
Elvis at Deadwood Mountain Grand has a great ring to it,” said Susan Kightlinger, Resort Manager. “We know how many Elvis fans are out there, and to have two-days of tribute artists performing in front of an amazing live band is going to be a great experience.”
Artists will be competing for over $7,500 in Cash and Prizes. While the real Elvis Presley passed away in August 1977, each tribute act works hard to keep his memory alive and fans happy. Elvis fans will enjoy an amazing festival honoring the life, music and legacy of the greatest entertainer that ever lived, Elvis Presley.
The contest will feature 3 great Elvis themed shows. Friday night kicks off with Round One Preliminary Competition at 7 PM. This show will celebrate Elvis’ musical career followed by Round Two on Saturday Morning at 11 AM. The Top Ten Elvis Tribute Artists will move to the Shake Rattle N Roll Finals on Saturday evening at 7 PM.
Also don’t miss out on the spectacular Ultimate Legends Tribute Show at 3 PM on Saturday.
